The Global Pest Management Conference (GPMC) 2025 was held on July 24, 2025, at the prestigious Marriott Hotel, located at 122 Joel Ogunnaike Street, Ikeja GRA, Lagos State. The event was organized by DFortune Pest Solutions Limited, under the leadership of PCO Ayodeji Oluleye, popularly known as Dfortune.
Theme: “Advancing Public Health Through Sustainable Pest and Vector Management Practices”
The conference began with a warm welcome address, followed by an opening prayer and the national anthem—setting a dignified tone for a day of impactful discourse, collaboration, and innovation.
With a turnout of approximately 300–500 delegates, the event brought together a dynamic mix of stakeholders including state government health officials, members of the Pest Control Association of Nigeria (PECAN), international experts, industry leaders, and academics.

Key Participation and Government Support
The conference was further elevated by the presence of Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi, who reaffirmed the state’s commitment to malaria elimination through digital tracking tools and public-private partnerships.
In his keynote address, PCO Ayodeji Oluleye emphasized the critical role of pest management in achieving public health goals. He highlighted the economic burden of pest-related diseases in Nigeria and advocated for greater public education, preventive practices, and affordable pest management services.

Notable Presentations
- Dr. Raja delivered an in-depth session on Pest Risk Management, advocating for early detection, hygienic practices, and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) over reactive methods. He also introduced a reference table tailored for field professionals.
- Charlotte Lee announced a strategic plan for establishing a large-scale agrochemical factory in Nigeria, which would support both domestic needs and global supply chains.
- Professor Adetoun Mustapha shed light on the alarming rise of vector-borne diseases, especially in urban centers. She stressed the importance of sustainable pest control practices in addressing these public health threats.
